April is Juice Drive Month and thousands of at-risk children need your help!
Throughout the month of April the SWVA Second Harvest food bank and its sponsors WSLS10, Kroger, Member One, and Acquisition Title & Settlement will scour the region, collecting 100% juice boxes for area children.
Our goal is to collect a year's worth, or 400,000 boxes of 100% juice.
Nearly half of all children in this region receive free or reduced lunch at school, but what will those kids eat when they go home? Thanks to a variety of Food Bank Kids Programs we can provide at-risk children with the healthy meals their young minds need to succeed, even after the school bell rings. Last year the Food Bank's Kids Programs provided more than 350,000 meals to children throughout the region. By far the most common food item required and provided by our Kid's Programs is 100% Juice.

We prefer all juice donations be delivered here, to the Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank at 1025 Electric Road, Salem, VA 24153. However, it's more important we get the juice to the kids that need it.
Take your juice donation to the juice drop-off points scattered throughout the region. Kroger stores within the WSLS10 viewing area, Member One offices, and Acquisition & Title Settlement will all accept 100% juice box donations throughout the month of April.
If you can't deliver the boxes yourself, contact the Food Bank so we can make arrangements.
Here are some printable materials that you can use if you would like to spread the word at work or school.
